Sickies Are In the house - bloody Oprah!!

Oh man, not the best week, this mummy is tired, grouchy and choked with a horrible chest cold that my son decided to share with me.

Today is the worst I feel, and I asked if my friend would kindly go out and give Lily my horse her feed tonight as all I want to do is curl up on the couch and watch crappy daytime chat shows, although in saying that I did enjoy Oprah today, today I discovered the word Shlumpadinka and what it means, and thanks to Oprah I have now bought a pile of new clothes, which according to her and Loyd are the 10 important items required for a busy moms wardrobe.

1, A bright colored trench coat
2, black turtleneck
3, good fitting black pants
4, tunic
5, white jeans
6, dark jeans
7, black dress
8, white denim jacket
9, black skirt
10 cashmere sweater

Off course important accessories are, flat shoes, preferably leopard print shoes, because they go with everything, and, a white tote bag, as white is in.

Now thanks to them I have been surfing my all time favourite store, Next looking for these items during my time of illness (thank goodness for my laptop LOL) And planning everything I am going to buy.

Why oh why do I get sucked into these programs! LOL

Anyway, I called The Honey because I can not facing cooking dinner tonight, so he is going to pick up fish and chips tonight!!

But I have a proud mummy moment. I am potty training Jamie, I was going to let him learn it all himself, like I did with Sarah, but Sarah seemed to grasp the whole concept of potty before she was 2, whereas my darling boy would be really content in a soggy nappy (diaper) and welly boots all day long if he could get away with it. Anyway, he starts preschool after summer term and for healthy and safety, the kids need to be potty trained. So, since he is taking his time with it, I thought get this potty thing started now. Sarah was trained within a week, Jamie, I have been training for 3wks!!

This week we have been doing ok, we still have accidents but he is slowly grasping the idea, he doesnt like getting his Thomas Tank Engine big boy pants wet. Today, I decided to brave it, Wednesdays we go to a mother and toddler group so I thought we would TRY and let him go with no nappy on, just big boy pants. I reminded him to tell me when he needs to go potty. He went of to play with his little friends, while I caught up with mine.

Half hour later, I heard 'mammy, mammy, I need potty' And he went WOOT, I told him I was SOOOO proud of him, did the usual 'high five little dude' And I could tell he was so proud of himself. So proud in fact that when we left the bathroom he decided to tell everyone he went on the potty LOL

Blah, I need to nap Montel Williams is coming on though, what to do!!

Liz has a great Challenge!!!

I think I need to get what I need on this blog right now, likie my new header?? That was the wonderful Genevieve Sass who made the header. Not for me personally LOL (although I believe she can do that) No she sells varied blog headers at her store On my last blog, I remember it taking me 3 days to get the header just right, and I just couldnt face doing all that again, so yay, Gena takes all the stress out of it for you, all I did was throw on some of Vickies glitzy alpha and wayhay, its done!!

We have a few sickies in da house right now. Jamie started with the snuffly nose on Saturday, and today I woke up with a snuffly nose AND a sore throat, so I get 2 for the price of one! Lots of coffee down my neck today!
