I had the most unfortunate incident happen to me last night! And I am thankful the kids and I are alive to tell the tale. We were stuck in a gator infested swamp.
Ok, slight exaguration, since we dont have aligators in the North of Scotland. And, we dont actually have swamps either.
Yesterday was a gawd awful day, in fact, the past week has been gawd aful. Its not stopped raining since Wednesday last week, and on Sunday we actually had that mushy wet snow fall.
Last night I dropped Sarah and her friend off at their cheerleading class, its literally a 5 min drive to their class, usually I would stay with them, but it was so wet, cold and miserable I decided just to go back home with Jamie.
Their class finished at 7pm, so at 6:50 Jamie and I jumped into the car and drove to the hall. The car park was full, everyone obviously decided since the weather was bad they would drive, even though half of them lived around the corner.
I am the most IMPATIENT driver, if I need to get somewhere, I need to get there, I need to park, do what I need to do, get back in the car and drive, dont keep me hanging around!! So some people where just holding up the car park. Its not a large area, probably get around 10 cars parked there, probably more if people could park correctly rather than abandon their cars!! Anyway, there were 2 cars in front of me, and I am tapping on the steering wheel shouting W.T.F, MOVE!! So in my impatientness, I pull up beside them (giving them the not impressed look) And park just on the field beside the car park.
Collected girls, got them strapped in.
OMG, OMG, the car wont reverse. OMG there is mud splattering up the side of my windows and all over the wall. HECK, the wheels are turning but the car is not moving.
Yep, I got stuck in the mud!
I just want to thank the 2 ladies and the man that came to my rescue, and whilst they were rocking the car out of the mud, and me reversing out, they were getting splattered with the mud!
And to the poor man, a special thank you to him, who decided to put his legs up on the wall and use his body strength and push my car out. My car was wet, and he slipped and bashed his chin off the bonnett of the car. Bless him, all I could hear outside in the noise of the reversing was 'S***t, F****' Bless him.
Anyway, they rescued me and the kids, who were getting quite upset thinking we would have to spend the entire night in the field!
So, the mud and grass gave me inspiration for this mini kit

Just to celebrate my freedom again LOL, and its yours for free too :)
